There are tons of parenting books out there. (Sometimes they contradict each other: read this!) As a parent I have very little time to read parenting books, and I definitely don't have time to read books full of fluff or useless information. I want the good stuff and I want it now! I'm sure you can all relate.
So, I was very excited when I went to a Relief Society meeting where a family therapist spoke. She teaches family science classes at a local university. She has read many parenting books for her profession. At the meeting she started out by saying there was no way she would get to everything, but that was okay, because she had brought a list of the best parenting books out there, and we should just go home and read and study these books. Good enough for me!!! These books are awesome. When my children get married and start having children I will give them these books as a gift.

- Any other "Positive Discipline" book by Jane Nelson/Lynn Lott
- Christlike Parenting by Glenn Latham
- Discipline, 101 Alternatives to Spanking by Dr. Alvin Price
- What am I Feeling? by Jon Gottman
Read, read, read and then reread!!! Raising your children right is the most important thing you will ever do. Might as well do it right!!!
