Screen Free - Day 2

Okay, try to explain to a three-year-old that he doesn't get to watch Phineas and Ferb for one whole month.  He doesn't understand the concept of time.  He doesn't understand one day, far less one month.  I don't know how many times I told Cy today that he couldn't use the iPad to play or watch anything today.  When my husband came home, he went over to his dad, and in his three-year-old vocabulary he explained to his dad that he was very angry with mom because mom wouldn't let him watch Phineas and Ferb.  It made my heart just go out to him.  But I didn't turn on the TV!  He'll just have to hear no enough that he'll stop asking.  This is killing me.

The older kids get it.  They didn't ask once to watch anything.  In the evening Tim read from the Jungle Book while some of the kids colored.  I just laid down on the couch and listened.

I have started a list.  It's a list of things that I need to do during my 5-6:30 AM business time.  On my list are things to print and e-mail.  I have printed off my calendar for the month, because our calendar is completely electronic.
